She was predeceased by her son, Richard “Ricky” Spillman and her grandson, Sean Spillman. She is survived by her sons, David Spillman of Suffern, NY; Brian (Margaret) Spillman of Washingtonville, NY and daughter Jody Spillman of Hillburn, NY; eleven grandchildren, Ricky, Mathew, Tiffany, Jeremy, Aaron, Adam, Briana, Kristina, Ashley, Autumn and Tatiana and three great grandchildren, Juliana, Leah and Noah.
As a teenager, Louise attended Nyack High School. She was very proud of her graduating class and later in life, organized many class reunions including their 50th Class Reunion.
As a young adult, Louise spent her summer vacations in Battersea, Ontario. Canada was beloved by her parents and they decided in 1950 to build a cottage in Battersea. This cottage became the family's go-to vacation spot and created lasting memories for all who visited this special place.
An avid traveler, Louise enjoyed many trips to Mexico, Europe, Canada and Hawaii. She was a 50-year member of Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack, NY. Louise was a long-time parishioner of the historic Greenbush Presbyterian Church in Blauvelt, NY. She was also a part of the oldest music organization in Rockland County, The Morning Music Club.
Visitation will be held from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in memory of Louise Bryant to The Carter Center, founded by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn.
