John Elwood Mann

He was born in St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh , New York on March 1 , 1957 .

Johnny Mann graduated from Washingtonville High School which he received His High School Diploma from. In high school he participated in soccer and track & field. He was one of the fastest runners of his generation. He ran the 100-yard dash in less than ten seconds.

He was married to Ms. Robin Post – Mann (predeceased)

Johnny Mann worked in the Washingtonville School District in various positions for over 40 years.

He was a member of the VFW in Washingtonville, and had a passion for cars and motorcycles. He provided a helping hand to whomever asked and / or needed the assistance. One of his favorite things to do was watching softball games on Sunday afternoon.

He was survived by the following children: Nora – Mann Cruz , Jack Weihbrecht (mother Judy Weihbrecht) , Jecina Post.

Johnny’s mother: Thelma Burch (deceased) and father: Norman Cooper (deceased)

Grandchildren : Marcasia Manns, Mark Manns ,Tyrell Manns, Maddisyn Madden,

Great Grandchildren : Zamere Manns, Zayden Manns, Amaya Rae Manns Lomerson, Khamil Downing, Legend Manns.

Sisters and brothers : Lisa Burch, Sharla Burch, Chalet Burch, Curtis Cooper, Roxanne Cooper.

And MANY Aunts, Uncles, and cousins

A memorial visitation for John Elwood will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at David T Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, New York 10992.
