Joan Brennan

Joan Brennan of Washingtonville, NY entered into rest on October 13, 2015. She was 81 years old. Joan was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 30, 1934 to Joseph Scully and Helen O’Loughlin. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Ancient order of Hibernians, Catholic Daughters of the America’s Court St. Ann. Joan loved spending holidays with family, socializing and playing Bingo with friends. Past member of Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary as well as VFW ladies Auxiliary. Joan will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her Sons, Richard Brennan and his wife Denise, Michael Brennan and Brian Brennan; Daughter, Joanie Brennan; Brother Jerry Scully and his wife Janet; Sisters, Barbara and her husband John Carroll and Kathy and her husband Peter LaVezzo; grandchildren, Jeanie Brennan, Brian Brennan, Keith and Laura O’Callahan, Joseph Schirripa and Michael Brennan; great grandchildren, Alyssa and Ryan Hendricks, Natalie and Cadence Brennan, Kevin and Keith O’Callahan and Olivia Graffeo as well as many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her daughter Carolyn O’Callahan, granddaughters, Kathleen and Christine Brennan and daughter-in-law, Marcy Brennan.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 18 from 1-5pm at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home in Washingtonville, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, October 19, 11am at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville, NY. Cremation will be Private. Arrangements under the care of Thomas A. Murray of David T.
