He was born in Newburgh, NY on January 20, 1940 to Frederick W. Lange and Mary A. McGorty. Frank was a lifelong resident of Rock Tavern, graduate of Washingtonville High School Class of 1957. He worked many years on his family’s dairy farm and was the owner operator of The Rock Tavern, he worked as a well driller and also for Saturno’s Hardware.
Frank was a member of the National Guard 170th Artillery Battalion “B” Battery. He was always proud of his German - Irish Heritage. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen A. Lange of Rock Tavern, NY; son, Frank and his wife, Jocelyn Lange of Rock Tavern; daughter, Bernadette Lange and Tito Valles, of Kingston; stepdaughters, Erin Redden of Yonkers and Molly Redden of Rochester; brother, Frederick J. Lange of Rock Tavern; sisters, Pauline and husband, James Moran of Montgomery, NY, Mary Sanner of Rock Tavern and Kay Roche of Newburgh, NY; grandson, David Valles and many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his brother-in-law, William Sanner.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 25 at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26 at St. Mary’s Church in Montgomery. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montgomery.
