Henrietta Hinrichsen Hunter, age 96, of Bethesda, Maryland, died on Friday, April 5, 2013 of complications of dementia. She was the beloved wife of Thomas William Hunter, who predeceased her on April 18, 1979, and the mother of her loving son, Jon Lewis Hunter, who died on March 8, 2012. She is now survived by her adoring daughter, Barbara Hunter Woltman, of Bethesda, Maryland, as well as one grandson, Thomas Edward Woltman, of Cedarville, Ohio (who was her great pride and joy) and his fiancée, Melissa Scholes, of Cedarville, Ohio. Henrietta (affectionately known as “Miss Honey”) was the matriarch of her family, also leaving many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at JOSEPH GAWLER’S & SONS, 5130 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., Washington , D.C. 20016 on Sunday, April 7, 2013. A memorial gathering will be held in the chapel from 3-4pm, until the service time at 4:00pm. Inurnment at Parklawn Memorial Park, in Rockville, Maryland will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Henrietta’s favorite non-profit organizations, the Philanthropic Educational Organization, P.E.O. Foundation Fund and the Montgomery County Federation of Women’s Clubs, M.C.F.W.C. Scholarship Fund.
