Ronald W. Roderick

He was the beloved husband of Barbara L. (David) Roderick. Born in Newport, RI, he was a son of the late Alfred and Alice (Botelho) Roderick.

Mr. Roderick served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, having received the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon. He had worked as a pipefitter for General Dynamics for 37 years before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sport clay shooting.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons, John C. Roderick of Coventry, and Brian J. Roderick and his wife Ashley of Smithville, TX; his grandchildren, Race J. Roderick and Summer S. Roderick; his brothers, David Roderick and his wife Isabel of Florida, and Kenneth Roderick of East Greenwich survive him. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Visitation and funeral will be held Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School Street, North Kingstown. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
