Robert L. “Bob” Sullivan, 93, of Warwick passed away Thursday March 28, 2024, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was married to Barbara (Warren) Sullivan for over 62 years. Born in Concord, New Hampshire and raised in Arlington, Massachusetts, Bob was a son of the late Virginia Davis Sullivan and the late Edward David Sullivan.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, Bob is survived by his sons Robert Sullivan of Sunapee, New Hampshire, and Richard Sullivan and his wife Virginia of North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Bob was the grandfather (“Grampie”) of William and Kaitlyn, both of North Kingstown.
He is also survived by his sister Carolyn Sullivan of Woburn, Massachusetts and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Edward Sullivan and sister Barbara Nicholson.
Bob was a veteran who served during the Korean War. He worked as a salesman at J.T. Ryerson, Marmon Keystone, Inc., and others in the steel industry for over 40 years. He was a Mason and an avid Red Sox fan who witnessed the famous Fisk homerun in person and was excited when he was able to celebrate the breaking of the curse in 2004 with his grandchildren. He liked to walk around his neighborhood, often chatting with his neighbors, and sit outside during the warmer weather.
The family would like to thank the staff at HopeHealth in Providence for their great care of Bob during his last days.
Bob will be laid to rest at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, Rhode Island in a private service.
