Brian Sparfven

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Brian was the son of the late George A. and Leda M. (Ingraham) Sparfven.

Brian was employed as a Stone Mason for many years prior to his retirement.

He enjoyed many activities including cooking, hunting, fishing, cookouts with his family, and the occasional home improvement effort where he always offered help. He was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Air Force, and a local member of the Narragansett Surfcasters fishing club.

As a loving husband, father and grandfather, Brian is survived by his dear wife of sixty years; Joan, his children; Colleen Bandarra, Stacia Hicks, Brian Sparfven Jr., David Sparfven, and Scott Sparfven, his grandchildren; David, Ashlee, Duncan, Mia, Madison, Mikenzie, and Kailey.

He is also survived by his sisters; Shirley Kaiser, Judith Davis and Jacqueline Kotkofski. He was the brother of the late Jean Pollett, Carolyn Stone, Richard Sparfven, Ronald Sparfven, Wayne Sparfven, George Sparfven and Bruce Sparfven.

He would often say to his wife and children, “Have I told you lately that I love you?”

Brian will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family will hold services privately.
