Stephen "Woody" Woodham, 72, of Bristol, RI, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 27th at his home in the loving care of his sister, Susann, after a brief illness. He was born in Newport, RI on October, 31st, 1951, the son of the late Royce Earl Woodham and the late Francis Stabile Woodham. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam era. Stephen was a self-employed carpenter for many years until his retirement. He was a die-hard year round Harley rider. Stephen loved sending time with his cat Bella, watching her play in the "catio". On Friday mornings, you could find Woody and Zachary at the local diner for breakfast and then for dinner, clam cakes at the pub. Woody was the most wonderful man who loved riding his motorcycle and he will be deeply missed to every one of us to have known him. We were all inspired by his generosity and kindness and his heart of gold. He has a special place in all of our hearts.
He will be survived by: one sister, Susann Cochrane and her husband Bruce of Bristol, John, Celia, Zachary and Jasmine Raymond of Bristol, and Anthony Woodham of TN. He was also the brother of the late June B. White.
Special thank you to Visiting Nurse Home and Hospice caregivers Celia Raymond and Shirley Ferrara.
