Raymond O. Dumont

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Raymond J. Dumont and Florence D. (Vigeant) Sherman, he was a graduate of Somerset High School, Class of 1978 and a member of the United States Army Reserves as a Unit Supply Clerk in Co D 1st Bn 76th Regt, located in Bristol RI. An experienced carpenter, Raymond O. worked in construction for many years. His knowledge and skills in his craft made him an expert in the installation of Corian kitchen counter tops. His seasonal part time job at The Ski House in Somerset Ma., as a Ski Technician, sparked his love of alpine skiing. His passion for the sport and his commitment to providing top-notch service to his clients, gained him the reputation of being a detail-oriented professional. Raymond O. was fortunate to ski many trails in New England as well as on the glaciers of Austria.

He is survived by his siblings, Therese R. Dumont of Weaver, AL., Jean P. Dumont (Sharon) of Jacksonville, AL., Ronald R. Dumont of Westfield, MA., and Elizabeth C. Baganz (Joe) of Kingston, NY.; Godson, Jason P. Dumont; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Albert M. Dumont.
