Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Ethel Twomey. She is survived by a brother Robert (Nina) Twomey of Mount Juliet, TN. She was predeceased by her brother Jack Twomey.
Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 35 years, Thomas Benedetti. She was the mother of Andrea (Joe) Veloso of Warren, Amy (Charles) Benedetti-Ashlock of Cherry Hill, NJ and Dante (Michaela) Benedetti of Warwick. She leaves behind five grandchildren, Nathan Veloso, Xavier Ashlock, Isaiah Ashlock, Thomas Benedetti, and Gabriella Benedetti.
Betty lived on Liberty St. for 52 years. She loved the North End and felt a special connection to her neighbors and the neighborhood. She was a long time parishioner of St. Alexander’s Church. Betty worked at PPAC for 33 years. She continued to work part time until two months before her passing. She adored PPAC; it was like a second home to her. Betty had an infectious spirit and was loved by all who knew her. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren, and will be missed by many.
Her Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 8:00 to 10:30 AM in Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St. Warren, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Alexander's Church, 221 Main St., Warren. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in St. Alexander's Cemetery, Warren.
