Edward L. Shaw

Born in Providence, Edward was the son of the late Edward and Esther (Lewis) Shaw. He dedicated many years to mail delivery at the former Fleet Bank before retiring to embrace the pleasures of life. An avid collector of records and CDs, Ed had a deep passion for music that enriched his days.

Ed cherished time spent with his family and adored his beloved dog, Addie. He was an active member of the Portsmouth United Methodist Church, where he contributed his talents by performing in the choir.

His warmth, kindness, and love for family and friends will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his step-daughters, Jennifer Braga of Fall River; Amy Woynar and her husband Adam of Pawtucket and his grandchildren, Lilyan Braga, Kylee King, Liam Woynar and Brooklin Woynar; his great grandsons, Levi and Luka; his in-laws, George Gallant and his wife Laurinda and Jean Sunny and her husband Guy; several nieces and nephews.

His visitation will be Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren. His funeral will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 9:00 AM from the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home with burial in Warren South Burial Ground followed by his funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Portsmouth United Methodist Church, 2732 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Relatives and friends are invited.
