Donato “Danny” J. Ottone, Jr. age 90, of Clearwater, Florida, and formerly of Swansea, Massachusetts passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater Florida. He was the loving husband of the late Marguerite (Russo) Ottone.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, a son of the late Donato J. and Margaret (Brownell) Ottone, he had lived in Massachusetts for many years before moving to Florida 24 years ago. A United States Air Force veteran, Danny served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ottone was the co-owner of Colony Builders, in Rehoboth Massachusetts, for many years. Danny was very involved in the community, and Avalon RV park where he resided.
He is survived by: his son, Robert Ottone and his partner Patricia “Patty” Hunt of Georgia; two grandsons, Robert D. Ottone, Jr. and his wife Lisa and Daniel R Ottone; five great-grandchildren, Anthony, Gianna
Isabella, Lacey and Owen Ottone and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Louise Langello, Helen Del Rossi, Johnny, George, Carl and Anthony Ottone.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Maria del Campo Cemetery, Barrington. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Relatives and friends are invited.
Immediately following the burial all are invited to a Celebration of Life Reception at the East Providence Yacht Club, 9 Pier Road, East Providence.
