“I want to ask you a favor, I want to ask you to walk together & take care of one another.”
On September 20th 2023, our beloved David E. Bryant, age 83, of Warren, peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family. A remarkable soul, he shared a lifetime of love with his cherished wife, Evelina P. (Sampaio) Bryant, whom he married on a memorable day, June 22, 1959, in the enchanting Terceira, Azores, during his service at Lajes Air Force Base.
David's journey began in Conway, NH, as the son of Frank E. and Arlene (Whitney) Bryant. He bravely served in the United States Air Force, leaving a lasting mark of honor and dedication. Later, he embraced a fulfilling career at W.E. Pray Trucking until his well-deserved retirement.
David relished imparting life lessons and held a quick wit and old-school outlook on life. He generously devoted his time as a mentor and former Boy Scout leader for Troop 25. Under his guidance, the troop flourished, boasting one of the largest enrollments in the state of Rhode Island. Their annual camping trips to Standish, Maine were cherished adventures that continue to evoke fond memories for his scouts, who revisit those camping grounds and reminisce about the invaluable life lessons learned in Troop 25.
David's legacy lives on through the love and laughter he shared with his devoted wife and their three children: Dianna Ramsdell and her husband Rick of Braselton, GA, Donna O’Neil of Warren, and Randy Bryant and his wife Diane of Warren. His presence will forever be felt in the hearts of his four grandchildren—Sara Lee Lamantia, Danny Bryant, Ally Sanders, and Brett Ramsdell—and five great-grandchildren—Ryder and Sailor Sanders, Nova and Cloud Bryant, and Lincoln Lamantia. He is also remembered by his sister Jean White of Gorham, ME, and brother Richard Bryant and his wife Joan of Gorham, ME, along with numerous nieces and nephews. David was the father of the late Danny Bryant husband to Robin Bryant of Seekonk, MA, and brother of the late Ray Chute.
In honor of the extraordinary man he was, let us celebrate a life well-lived, overflowing with love, adventure, and an enduring sense of community. David's spirit lives on, reminding us to embrace each day with gratitude, kindness, and a heart full of joy. May his legacy continue to inspire us to create beautiful memories and to always seek the adventure in life.
Rest in peace, dear David E. Bryant, knowing that your love and light will forever guide us on our own remarkable journeys.
