Deacon Valere Richard Buyle, age 83, of Fraser, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Valere was born on January 3, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to Raymond and Virginia Buyle.
Valere is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan, his siblings Ken (Kathy), Jon (Tim), and Rayna, his children Michael, Theresa (Stan), Jeff (Nancy), Sandra (Mike), and Jenny (Nick), as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Valere began his education at Guardian Angels grade school, continuing on to Notre Dame High School, and graduating from Wayne State University with a degree in English. Being of strong faith, Valere completed his religious studies in 1992, at Sacred Heart Major Seminary where he became a deacon, serving at multiple parishes through the Detroit Diocese. In his role as deacon, Valere had the honor of baptizing and marrying several of his grandchildren. Valere retired from Chrysler where he worked as a systems analyst for over 20 years. With his charitable spirit, he joined multiple groups including the Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, Stephen's Ministry, and MCREST. Valere participated in many hobbies throughout his life including playing football, ice hockey, and wallyball, coaching his kids' baseball and football teams, taking many camping, canoeing, and motorcycle trips, and finally spending summer days up north with his family in Sugar Springs.
An instate for Valere will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Margaret of Scotland, 21201 E Thirteen Mile Rd, Saint Clair Shores, Michigan 48082, followed by a funeral mass at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers any donations in his memory made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Know Resolve would be deeply appreciated.
