Robert Walter Chase, age 53 of Warren, died Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren. He was born in Dearborn, Michigan on November 1, 1966 to his late mother, Virginia Chase.
Robert grew up in Roseville and attended Notre Dame Prep where he played high school football. He then went on to attend Macomb Community College, earning his Associate’s Degree. Robert eventually worked as a network engineer at Kelly Services where he was highly respected in his career.
Robert was married to the love of his life, Diann, for nearly 33 years. Together, they were an inseparable team. Robert and Diann had two wonderful children, Alicia and Josh, along with his son-in-law Tom, all of whom he was extremely proud. His favorite role, most of all, was becoming a grandfather to his only grandson, Lukas. Lukas was his world, and he loved playing cars with him whenever he was able.
In his leisure time, Robert was an avid gamer and could be found enjoying video games with his family. He also loved watching documentary shows, and playing a good game of euchre. He was known as a very intelligent man who loved playing practical jokes. Robert struggled with health challenges in his life from a very young age, yet he continued with his strong will and humor to overcome any obstacle he was compelled to endure.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Robert leaves behind a myriad of loved ones and friends to treasure the memories made together; memories to embrace with each reflection shared. He will be missed beyond measure and is loved beyond expression.
Robert was the beloved husband of Diann. Loving father of Alicia (Tom) Bryson and Joshua Chase. Adored grandfather of Lukas. Special godfather of Christine Blahofski McCullum. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Mass for Robert will be held at a later date.
