Richard "Rick" Brian DeFour

Richard was an incredibly gifted handy man; his talent and determination meant he never quit a project until it was complete. Mechanically inclined, his hobbies included building model WWII airplanes. He surrounded himself with nature, tending his garden, watching the birds in his backyard, fishing the many lakes, and enjoying his fresh water aquarium. When he was relaxing at home, he would put on a Lions or Tigers game. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him and they all adored their time with “Papa Rick” and looked forward to hearing his jokes.

Richard is the beloved husband of 10 years to Susan DeFour. The loving father of Michelle (Brian) Ramirez, Brian DeFour, Margaret DeFour, Kelly Forster, and Tara Forster. Cherished grandfather of Valerie, Ricky, Lisa, Casius, Lily, and Patrick. Dear brother of Joanie, Suzy, David, and Bob. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and his cats Winnie and Vinny.

Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, from 3pm until 8pm, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Memorial instate will be held the following day, Monday, April 8, at 11:30am until the time of the memorial service at 12pm, at the funeral home.
