Nancy was born in Detroit and grew up in Warren, where she attended Warren Woods High School. She then went on to work at Heritage Jr. High and the Utica school district as a paraprofessional for special needs children for 25 years until her retirement. Nancy met the love of her life, Terry, when they were both just in the first grade. Not many people can say they have found their soulmate, but the two had been married for nearly 53 years this coming July. Together, they had three wonderful children and a host of grand and great-grandchildren whom she adored.
While not at work, you could usually find Nancy at her favorite place in the world-- on the beach in her flip-flops reading a good book. She loved to dance and listen to Rod Stewart. She would often reminisce about her favorite restaurant, Chi-Chi’s. Nancy was very trendy and an avid shopper at Lord & Taylor. Most importantly, Nancy was a strong and courageous woman, having survived cancer twice. She loved and cared for her family, and will be missed immensely by all who knew her.
Nancy was the beloved wife of Terry. Loving mother of Tisha (Joe) Nichols, Mark (Heather), and Matthew. Cherished grandmother of Krystin, Zachary, Alexandra, Corey, Parker J., David, James, and Joshua. Adored great-grandmother of Jackson, Sophia, Benjamin, David Ray, Liliana, Theodore, and Klaus. Dear sister of Rick Parker and the late Steve Parker. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Geraldine Parker.
Visitation for Nancy will be held Wednesday, February 2nd from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI 48093. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11am at the Funeral Home. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.
