Michael J. Schwartz

Michael Joseph Schwartz passed away peacefully August 2, 2021 at his home in Warren MI. Firstborn son of the late Arthur and the late Clara Schwartz. Beloved husband of 60 years to Rosemarie (Misner) Schwartz, his “million-dollar baby he found at the dime store.” Loving father of Michael Jr. (Carol) Schwartz, Ann Marie (Steve) Schwartz, Dr. Mark (Nicole) Schwartz and Matthew (Michele) Schwartz. Adoring grandfather (Papa) of Eric, Emily (Sean) Slosek, Samantha (Chris) Boschken, Allison, Rebecca, Brynn, Robert, Megan, Delaney, Devin, Bryanna and Brylee. Great grandfather of Kinsley and Grayson Slosek. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Brown and brother Paul Schwartz. Survived by sisters Phyllis (Paul) Alita, Kathy (Paul) King and Monica (Thomas) Eick. His is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Michael suffered with Multiple Sclerosis for over 50 years, amazing most doctors who know the disease well. Despite his limitations, he worked many years as an operator at the Warren Waste-Water treatment plant. He faced his disability with a sense of humor and accepted things as they were with the utmost patience.

Visitation Friday, August 6th from 2-9 P.M. with rosary recitation at 7:30 P.M. at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 32000 Schoenherr Rd., Warren MI 48088. In state 9:30-10 A.M. Saturday August 7, 2021 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. at St. Malachy Catholic Church 14115 E 14 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48312.
