Marsha Miller, age 73 of Warren, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020, just two months after she lost her beloved husband of 50 years, Art. She was born on July 26, 1947 in East Detroit to her late parents, Ed and Sophie Holly.
Marsha attended Regina High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. She was a social worker in Macomb County before leaving her profession to raise her four children. Marsha was the proud mother of Holly (Ross) Rocheleau, Nicole (Matt) Price, Arthur III (Stephanie) Miller, and Derek (Katie) Miller. She was the proud grandmother to Grace, Griffin, Celine, Victoria, Sophia, Viviana, Dakota, Savannah, and Rosie. She was also a beloved sister to the late Elaine Henritzy, aunt and friend to so many.
After Marsha’s youngest child, Derek, was in high school, she went back to work as a building substitute teacher with Warren Consolidated Schools. She found a new career and discovered a love for teaching elementary students. Marsha had a passion for golfing and eagerly awaited every Tuesday morning for her golf league. She thoroughly enjoyed reading, crocheting and spending time traveling northern Michigan with her family. Marsha lived life to the fullest, which explains some of her last words, “I’ve had the best time!”
Visitation for Marsha will be held Friday, September 11th from 3–8 PM at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home at 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd.) in Warren. She will lie in state on Saturday from 12:30 PM until the time of her Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church located at 31555 Hoover Road in Warren. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marsha Miller family, for future various charities, per their mother’s request.
