Kimberly Anne Wiegand (nee: Belz), age 56, died Friday, October 27, 2017 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Kimberly was born March 22, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of Lizzetta (nee: Litz) Belz and the late Jack H. Belz.Kimberly attended and graduated from Center Line High School, a proud member of the Class of 1979. It was in her 10th grade homeroom that Kim would meet the love of her life, Scott Wiegand. As fate would have it, the homerooms for each got changed and the two would not have any classes together again until 11th grade. The courtship began with Kim asking Scott to a Sadie Hawkins dance,...and the romance never ended. The couple exchanged their wedding vows on July 24, 1982 at Old St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greek Town, Detroit, Michigan. Kim and Scott went on to share and enjoy the blessing of 35 years of matrimony together. While in high school, Kim attended cosmetology school and became a licensed cosmetologist and hairdresser. She began her career as a hairdresser for Jacobson's Department Store in Birmingham. She wanted to be closer to home and would eventually find employment within the 37th District Court in Warren working as a court clerk. Once Kim and Scott started a family it became abundantly clear to Kim that the most important job was to be a "stay at home Mom" to her children. As her children got a bit older attending school, Kim worked as a lunch room monitor for Chippewa Valley Schools, and lastly at Dakota High School.Kimberly cherished her children and grandchildren. When it came to her kids, she was always there, willing to help and be involved in all their activities. One of Kim's favorite places to retreat was the family cottage in Port Sanilac, Michigan. She cherished her time surrounded by her children and family, soaking up the warm rays of the sun and enjoying the lake. During the course of Kim's life, with all the ups and downs of her health struggles, she remained positive, kept a smile on her face, and inspired countless individuals with her consistent optimism.Kim is survived by her beloved husband, Scott David Wiegand, and her loving children; Scott Robert (Kristy) Wiegand, Michelle (John) Elkhoury, and Renee (Anthony) Russo. She was the cherished grandmother of Evelyn, Collin, Claire, Juliana, and Abigail. Further family members surviving Kim are her mother; Lizzetta Belz, and her sister Cheryl (Conrad) Dean.
