In Loving Memory of Jean F. Ziolkowski
January 29, 1941 – December 6, 2024
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Jean F. Ziolkowski, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us peacefully on December 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born on January 29, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to her cherished parents, William and Josephine (nee Zalewski) Stolarski.
Jean married the love of her life, Richard John Ziolkowski, and together they raised three beautiful children. Their marriage, filled with love and devotion, lasted until Richard’s passing in 2009. Jean’s love for her family was immeasurable, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
A devout Catholic, Jean found great comfort in her faith and was an active member of St. Dorothy Church until its closing, after which she became a devoted member of St. Martin de Porres Parish. Her unwavering commitment to her faith and community was a reflection of the kindness and humility that defined her life.
Jean had a love and appreciation for the outdoors, enjoying the beauty of her garden and taking walks around the neighborhood during the warmer months. She found peace in nature and often shared that peace with others.
Known for her humility, Jean always put the needs of others before her own. Whether it was lending a helping hand to family, friends, or neighbors, she was always there to offer support, love, and care.
Beloved wife of the late Richard J. Ziolkowski; dear mother of Richard Giles, Robert (Penny) Ziolkowski, and Catherine (David) Pineo; cherished grandmother of Emily Ann (James), Nathan (Katelyn), Lillian, Emily Victoria, Markie, and Kyle; adored great-grandmother of Jaxson, Mason, Benny, Bella, and Sebastian.
