Ilene was born in Detroit and raised in Wayne, Michigan. After she attended high school, Ilene went on to work for the government as a general supply specialist. Ilene always put her family first, and worked hard to support them. One of her greatest accomplishments in her 29 years in her career was assisting American soldiers in Saudi Arabia solely over the phone. Ilene married the love of her life, Walter, in January of 1984. Over their 38 ½ years of marriage, Walter and Ilene enjoyed traveling as they embarked on various cruises together. Ilene will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, leader, and friend who always put others first. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally.
Beloved wife of Walter. Loving mother of Renee (Donald Davis) Beyer. Cherished grandmother of Adam (Kimberly) Beyer. Adored great-grandmother of Hunter and Alexa Beyer. Dear sister of Patricia Kobus, Mary Yurchak, and the late John Kobus. Ilene was also predeceased by her parents, John and Cornelia Kobus.
Visitation for Ilene will be held on Saturday, June 4th from 3-9pm with a 7pm Prayer Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI 48093.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ilene's name are appreciated to either the Alzheimer's Association or your local food bank.
