At age 16, he came to Armada, MI and worked the fields picking beans. Then he worked at the Mt. Clemens Pottery before serving three years in the United States Maries while stationed in Mt. Fuji, Japan from 1953 to 1956. He retired as a Teamster truck driver for Commodore Cartage. During his retirement he had a great love for football, golf, and antique automobiles.
Greg is survived by two daughters, Rachel Collier (David), Julie Rico, and stepchildren Ralph, Mark, Gary, Calvin, Danny, Melanie, and Ronald Fuller. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wives Dora Rico and Jean Rico, his son Ronald Rico, daughter Lora Hopper, stepdaughter Karen Fuller, brothers Jose Rico and Jesus Rico, and his sisters Ester Navara and Hermina Leija.
Visitation for Greg will be held on Friday, December 20th from 3-7pm with a Funeral Service at 6pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI. A Private Burial will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery.
