Arlene Virginia Agrusa

Arlene Virginia Agrusa "Ski" died November 13, 2016 at her home in Warren at the age of 80. She was born June 10, 1936 in Detroit to the late John and the late Virginia Pawloski (nee: Wasielewski).Arlene was raised in Detroit and attended and graduated from St. Phillip Catholic High School in Detroit. Following high school Arlene found employment at the Paramount Schellar Globe Company. After the closing of Paramount Schellar Globe, Arlene went to work for Zenith Industrial Metal Stamping Company. Arlene handled many tasks for Zenith Industrial working primarily in the accounting area before retiring.Arlene was the devoted spouse of Santo James Agrusa for over 46 years. Arlene and Santo's union was filled with love and wonderful memories and food as the two blended their respective Polish and Sicilian roots. Arlene was a simple woman whose greatest pleasures came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She may have never opening admitted to anyone that she enjoyed caring for her family cooking, cleaning and doing the dreaded household chores. She would cook many great meals and treat her family and friends to her delicious homemade sweet bread. While in retirement Arlene and Santo loved to travel and take cruises to many locations all the while sharing their great memories of their travels with their children. Arlene's simplest pleasure in life was to get her hair done every Thursday.Arlene was the loving wife of Santo J. Agrusa and was the beloved mother of Kevin (Doris) Paridee and Steven Paridee. She was the dear grandmother of Ryan (Angela Fought) Paridee and Kristen Paridee and great-grandmother of Ryder, Aiden and James. Mrs. Agrusa was preceded in death by her brothers Ronald and Robert, a great grandson Colton. Lastly she was preceded in death by her beloved Sheltie Scooter.Visitation for Arlene will be held Thursday from 2-8PM, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). Please share memories at Arlene's memory book above.
