Willie Preston Woods Jr.

Willie Preston Woods Jr., affectionately known as "Fella," of Waldorf, MD, peacefully passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 63. He was born on April 25, 1961, in El Paso, TX, to the late Willie Preston Woods Sr. and Dorothy Miller.

On December 11, 1981, Willie married his beloved Marion in Marquette, Michigan, beginning a beautiful journey of 43 years of marriage and a loving family of four daughters: Pamela, Eboni, Tiffani, and Crystal. Willie proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1979 to 1995 and later worked at GST Global Science & Technology. He was a dedicated member of Evangel Cathedral, actively involved in the television ministry.

Outside of work, Willie was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones. He enjoyed investing, taking his children and grandchildren fishing, and embarking on family trips. Willie's greatest joy and proudest achievements were his family. He adored boasting about his children and the 19 grandchildren he was blessed with.

Willie had a radiant smile that illuminated every room he entered, and his sense of humor was infectious. Known for his love of friendly debates and challenges (LOL Barrence), and his renowned enchiladas, Willie brought joy and laughter wherever he went. He was content to be in the background as long as he was surrounded by his loved ones.

Willie is survived by his loving wife Marion, daughters Pamela, Eboni, Tiffani, Crystal, son Dallas, JR, sister Denise, brother Christopher, Mother Dorothy Johnson. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Dalvin, Paris, Nyah, Isaiah, Elias, Jamya, Tarren, CaMar, Naomi, Nuelle, Jo'el, Caleb, Nova, Owen, Jeremiah, Journei, Dior, and Destiny. Great-grandchildren, Cayden and baby T.J., nieces, nephews, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
