Margie A. Thompson, age 93, of White Plains, MD, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at her home. She was predeceased by her husband, George “Bill” Thompson. Margie was born January 28, 1928 in West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Marmet DeWitt.
Margie was a graduate of Lackey High School and retired from Giant Food. Margie was a member of the New Life Church and an avid fan of the Washington Nationals and the Dallas Cowboys. Margie will be remembered for her loving heart and caring spirit.
Margie is survived by a nephew, Mike Dearring and his wife Julie, a great-niece, Mandy Colegrove and her husband Jason and their children Bailey and Brooks, Chase the son of her late great-niece, Kari Katsouras, Kaitlin Allen who was like a grand-daughter to Margie, and Margie’s many friends.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD. Following the funeral service there will be a graveside service at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD. The services will be officiated by Pastors’ Chris Bryan and Aaron Rummage.
