Vivian (Scott) Whatley

Vivian was born in Waco, Texas to Danny Scott Sr and Patricia Peters Scott. She attended La Vega High School in Bellmead, Texas, and went on to further her education at McLennan Community College in Waco, graduating with an Associates Degree. She remained in proximity to the Waco area, and was an employee of Integ for 20 years. In September of 1989, Vivian would marry Jerry Whatley, her husband of 31 years until his passing. Together, they would have two daughters, Kimberly and Jennifer. Vivian took joy in spending time with her family, including attending dirt track races, traveling, fishing, camping, and spending time at the lake. Later in life, she was able to find love again with lifelong friend, Joe Beshears, who became her fiancé prior to her passing.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Danny Scott Sr. and Patricia Peters Scott of Bellmead, as well as her husband, Jerry Whatley of Whitney.

Vivian is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Whatley Fisher and wife Niki of Whitney, and Jennifer Whatley Downes and husband Colby of Hewitt, Texas; brother Danny Scott Jr. and wife Tammy of Woodway, Texas; nephews Jordan Alders and wife Sara of Woodway, Garrett Alders and wife Kelli of Lorena, Texas, and Kameran Scott of Woodway; granddaughters Jaidyn Fisher and Shiayne Fisher of Whitney; sister-in-law Vickie Peterson of McGregor, Texas; and mother-in-law Judy Whatley of Randolph, Texas.

A Celebration of Vivian’s Life will be held at a later date.
