A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00p.m., Friday, January 12, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors with his uncle, Ernesto Fraga, officiating. The family ask that in honor of Steve’s life, everyone wear Star Wars attire if possible. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00p.m., Thursday, January 11, at the funeral home.
Steve was born September 27, 1973 to Linda G. Ramos and Steve L. Sanchez in Waco, Texas. He graduated from University High School in 1992. Steve worked in the deli at H.E.B on N. 19th and Park Lake for eleven years. Steve enjoyed watching classic movies, drawing, and taking pictures. He also loved to fish with his father, Roy Ramos. He was a huge movie fan, some of his favorites included Star Wars, The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings. One of his favorite TV shows was Beavis and Butthead that he watched with his sister all the time. He was a wonderful uncle to his nephew and niece.
He is preceded in death by many family members but most recently his grandmother, Mary Sanchez.
Survivors include his parents, Roy and Linda Ramos; biological father, Steve L. Sanchez; sisters, Heidi Surfus and husband Carl and Felicia Anderson and husband Steven; nephew, Maddyx Anderson; niece, Alycia Nicole Thornton and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Hicks, Chris York, Steve Gomez, Christopher Faulkner, Angelo Zuniga and Jacob Zuniga.
