Mark Allen Christensen

November 8, 1960 – November 3, 2011

Mr. Mark Allen Christensen, age 50, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 in Waco. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 7th at 9:30 AM at Connally-Compton Funeral Directors with Father John Guzaldo officiating and burial to follow in the Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Sunday, Nov. 6th at Connally-Compton Funeral Directors.

Mark was born on November 8, 1960 to Kenneth Paul and Mary (Matus) Christensen in Dallas. He was a resident of Waco and graduated from Jefferson Moore High School in 1979. Mark served in the Navy during 1979-1981. He graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology. He worked 19 years as a Senior Claim Officer with the Veterans Administration in Waco. He loved fishing, and most of all he loved his family.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Paul Christensen.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Lynette Christensen of Waco; daughter, Brandy Pruiett and husband, Dale of Bryan; son, Ryan Taylor of Bryan; 3 grandchildren; mother, Mary Alice Matus of Waco; brother, Paul Christensen and wife, Sherri of Crawford; nephews, Brian, Derek and Tanner Christensen; various extended family members.
