Lynn D. Talbert

Mr. Lynn Talbert, 81, passed away on March 30, 2024, in Waxahachie, Texas. He was born on July 29, 1942, in Denver, Colorado. Lynn had an identical twin brother, Glynn, whom he loved dearly, and a sister, Rosemary. He loved his family and enjoyed taking care of others before himself.

Lynn was a hard-working man. He dedicated his life to serving his country and community. Lynn graduated from Killeen High School and furthered his education at the University of North Texas, in Denton, Texas, earning a degree in Economics. He proudly served in the Army and National Guard embodying the values of honor, duty, and commitment throughout his life.

Lynn held various career roles, he was Chief Executive Officer at Members Choice Federal Credit Union and was employed there for over thirty years, he was a custom home builder and built homes in Hewitt & Robinson, and he was a Deacon at Brookview Church of Christ, South Waco Church of Christ, and Crestview Church of Christ. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the city of Hewitt council. His contributions to society and unwavering dedication will always be remembered. Lynn is survived by Jenifer L. Talbert and family of Athens, Ohio, and Carrie L. Farrell and family of Woodway, Texas.

Mr. Talbert leaves behind a legacy of hard work, service, and love.

A visitation for Lynn will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Connally-Compton Funeral Directors, 4400 W Waco Dr, Waco, Texas 76710. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 State Highway 195, Killeen, Texas 76542.
