Guadalupe Cruz De Garcia

Guadalupe Cruz De Garcia, age 79, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 in Waco, Texas. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Waco Memorial Park in Waco, Texas with Deacon Jessie C. Garza officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.

Guadalupe was born June 24, 1943 to Enrique and Francisca Cruz Aguilar in Puebla, Mexico. She was a longtime resident of Waco. Guadalupe married Juan in Puebla, Mexico. Throughout their 60 years together, she had five children. Hoping to be able to provide the “American Dream” for their family, they immigrated to the United States in 1972.

Guadalupe was happiest and full of life when surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There was never a time any of them left empty handed from her home. Whether it was a piece of fruit, cookies, or a plate of her delicious food, she always made sure her “babies” left with something in hand. Her family will deeply miss her hugs, gentle chuckle, and stories from her past, but rejoice in knowing she is reunited with the love of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Juan Garcia; son, Pablo Garcia; sister, Martha Cruz; and brother, Heriberto Cruz.

Guadalupe is survived by her sons, Luciano Garcia and wife, Beatriz, Guillermo Garcia and wife, Raquel; daughters, Reyna Shannon and husband, Frank, Marina Garcia and husband, Armin Martinez; brothers, Norberto Cruz and family; Jose Manuel Cruz and family; and sister, Luz Maria Cruz and husband, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
