Norman “Bobby” Mahaffey, age 84, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024. He was born on July 6, 1940 in Columbia, SC to the late Carl B. Mahaffey and Evelyn Mahaffey.
Bobby retired from Southeastern Iron Workers, Local Union 848, and also retired from Mahaffey Auto Sales. He had a SC auto dealer license and a whole-sale dealer license. Bobby enjoyed restoring classic cars and was a member of Columbia Classic Chevy Club. He was also a faithful member of West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene. He loved reading his bible every morning and spending quiet time with Jesus.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audry Marie Mahaffey, the love of his life.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his three brothers, Benny, Ivey, and Vernon Mahaffey. He will be missed by many.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, 350 Wattling Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with burial to take place at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene or to the favorite charity of your choice.
