WEST COLUMBIA – Justin Michael Whitehurst, 29, was born November 16, 1989 in Lexington County, SC and passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. He was the son of Dawn Edelmann Kemmerlin and Timothy Lee Whitehurst. Justin was attending Midlands Technical College to be a Veterinary Technician.
He is survived by his parents, Dawn Kemmerlin (John) of Swansea and Tim Whitehurst (Leslie) of Lexington; brothers, Matthew Whitehurst of Greenville and Johnathan McLaurin of Lexington; maternal grandparents, Donald and Carole Edelmann of Swansea; paternal grandmother, Gloria Cook of West Columbia and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, with interment to follow in West End Cemetery, St. Matthews, SC. Memorials may be made to Carolina Wildlife Care, 1551 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.
