Edna is predeceased by her first husband, Herman Lemuel Lucas, Jr., the father of their two girls; her husband, David Timothy Brown; brothers, Charles, Tommy, Marvin, Roland; sisters, Hilda, Mary, Ruby and Esther, her twin sister.
Edna is survived by her two children, Angie Lucas Sherman (Robert) of West Columbia and Kim Lucas Sanders (Aleax) of Cayce. She will always be remembered as Grandma to her six grandchildren, Austin Sherman (Candice), Faye Hicks, Jala Sherman (Rob), Cody Sanders, Alexis Sanders, Gage Sanders and great-grandson, Taymen Sherman. Also surviving are her sister, Georgia Teasdale of Elgin and many nieces and nephews.
Mom loved her family and her little companion – her dog, “Lil Bit” more than anything. She thanked the Lord for another day every day until her final days.
The family would like to extend a big thank you to her Hospice Care Team: Dale, Aretha (nickname given to Mom by Aretha was “Hot Pants”), Sue, Shelia, Gena and Cheryl along with several others.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Southland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made on behalf of Mom to MSA Hospice, 166 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 100, Columbia, SC 29210.
