Richie, I was saddened to hear this news. We met at Mineral King and you were neighbors with my grandma. We went to different middle school and high schools but you were friends with my cousins so we always stayed connected. I remember running into you during the popwarner days. You were always such a sweet and funny guy. You were the first to tell me about DJ. Although we lost touch over the years we had always stayed connected because of our childhood. My fellow Niners fan. May you rest in peace my sweet friend.

To the Martinez and Molina we send our condolences.   Richard was our neighbor and he was so friendly and always had a smile on his face when we drove by with a BIG WAVE.  He helped us replace our HVAC system at our home and was always checking in to make sure it was working properly.   He really cared for his neighbors!   He will be missed…..


I had the honor and privilege attending SJVC and graduating with Richard. He had an awesome personality and helped me out in the electrical portion of the class. He would talked about his kids and was fortunate to see them once. They were his world. You had a big heart my friend and a kind soul. I'm going to miss you but not forget. RIP my friend 😢 

Can’t believe I’m writing this little primo feels unreal. You was that one always with a big smile. We was more then primo we are all brothers just wishing I had one more day with you. This has been so hard to take in and sad that this day as come I will always Love you Richie your primo  Eric. 

I give my upmost condolences love and respect to all of Richard's family this was a major shock and impact to all of us and he will forever remain in our memories and hearts   I was in Valley Oak Middle school when I was acquainted to Richard  he was always making you laugh and at times he would make fun or make jokes so we would both be back and forth with the sarcasm but we would jus laugh about it. We also  had certain classes and just made the best of it. I've always been a raider fan so he definitely would be non stop about that and would just clown away on the differences of our football teams.  We all hung out or talked to the same people in middle school alot of them knew richard since mineral king and was deeply saddened to hear he's no longer here.   The last time I saw Richard was at a store getting cold medicine for his kidos because they were sick. I will always remember Richard and the memories of  middle school times I am greatful that he  was apart of my time-line and he will never be forgotten May the lords  hands cover richards family his wife and his children and may he bring comfort through the grievance  and peace 

I can't remember how I old I was when I first met Richard.  Our families were connected since we were both very young, I lived next door to his grandparents and my earliest memories would be going to his home while my parents worked and also after school.  For a time I was raised a long side him and his brothers Carlos and Johnny and have so many clear memories that shaped my childhood and will cherish forever.  Watching Saved by the Bell, lugging my Nintendo and tiny TV their house playing Techmo Football all night, watching football, mainly the Niners and Cowboys while they made fun of my Raiders.  Richard was a grade younger than me but was much tougher and always seemed to watch out for me in school.  We kept in touch over the years and would always give me advice on my home and offer to help out with any projects I thought about starting even though I never started.  The woman who would become my wife also became neighbors with Richard when we were all in highschool and became a good friend as well.  We will miss his laughter, and care he he showed for us, our family, and his separate connection to the both of us.
