She was born, in Peru, Indiana, to Paul & Emma Lennon. While attending Peru High School she was working at J.C. Murphy dime store where she met the man she would marry, have a family with and live the rest of her life with. After her marriage in 1956, she took on the commitment to be a Military Air Force wife, which moved her around from Bunker Hill Air Force Base to several states, Wisconsin, Nebraska, California and two trips to Clark Air Base, Mabalacat, Philippines. She met many lifetime friends in her travels while caring for 4 rambunctious children, and participating in dance entertainment for the Air Men during her time in the Philippines.
After her husband retired from the military, she settled in Visalia California working many years as a Federal Employee with the Social Security Office. She loved entertaining friends and family in her home. She loved reading books, sometimes reading a few different books at the same time. She was a huge advocate of education, helping her grandchildren and great grandchildren with their homework.
Linda and her husband continued to enjoy their travels yearly after she retired. They traveled to many different states enjoying a visit to the White House, Elvis Presley mansion, Grand Ole Opry, Grand Canyon, Sturgis SD, 1992 Summer Olympic in Barcelona Spain, 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Vegas, Hawaii, I could go on and on. After enjoying her life to the fullest, she finally had to go into a nursing home and live out the remainder of her life from 2017-2022.
Linda is predeceased by her husband, Saul Salmon; parents, Paul & Emma Lennon; and her favorite loving daughter-in-law Kirsten (Graves) Salmon.
