Harley Roberts was born in Portland, Oregon to Mildred Cox Roberts Dugger and Harley Roberts, Sr. He passed away at Kaweah Delta Hospital in Visalia. Harley retired from Air Force in 1962. He graduated from Pepperdine University. Prior to retirement, he worked fifteen years in banking. Other work experience included a computer software business, lubrication systems design & installation; teaching & tutoring for the adult literacy program.
His favorite past times were golfing, cycling, gardening, and time with family and friends. Volunteer activities included Master Gardeners, Lions Club, Food Link, Score, and ABLE mentor at large.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 24 at 11:00 am, at Christ Lutheran Church in Visalia. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Christkids Preschool scholarships (Christ Lutheran Church), Food Link, or charity of choice are greatly appreciated.
Harley is survived by his wife Marsha Roberts; his siblings, Mary Burson of Tennessee and Thomas Roberts of Florida; his children, Daniel Roberts (Shirley), Michael Roberts (Paulette), Pam Stegmeir (David); his grandchildren and great grandchildren; his step children, Jason Mitchell (Amy), Stacy Hyde (Brian), David Mitchell (Rosemarie) and grandchildren, and his companion, ‘Bird’.
