Elizabeth Mae Hampton Abel departed this life on March 8, 2024 at the age of 84 at her home in Visalia, California. Elizabeth entered this life in Wilburton, Oklahoma on September 5, 1939 to Charlie Chun and Vineria Hampton.
She married Alvin Abel on December 23, 1956 and together they had 6 children; Jerry Abel, Katherine Abel, Wendell Abel, Alane Yandell, Robert Abel, and William Abel.
Elizabeth was a homemaker for 67 years. She is a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She loved spending time with her family, she loved camping, going to the casino, attending many pow wows to honor her culture. She was an amazing woman who was deeply loved by her family, friends and anyone who came across her path. Elizabeth was always there for any event that involved her family, such as school and sporting events.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; Charlie and Vineria, her husband Alvin, son Robert, her brother Vernon and her sister Dianne. As well as 1 grandson Duane Yandell, 3 great grandchildren; Emily Alvarez, Teigan and Austin Close.
Elizabeth is survived by her children; Jerry Abel, Katherine Abel, Wendell Abel, Alane Yandell and her husband David, and William Abel, her sisters; Joann Fink and Wanda Elliott. She has 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
