Alicia C. Ramirez was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico where she attended school until graduating in 1956. She married Guadalupe Ramirez in 1957 and moved to Visalia, CA in 1959 where she lived the rest of her life. Alicia was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and belong to the Cursillo Group. She was in bowling league and enjoyed making lots of friends. Alicia worked in various jobs throughout her life. She loved her family and especially loved spending he Sundays with her sons, Harvey and Chuck, and family. She enjoyed dancing with her son Harvey on weekends. Alicia had a close relationship with her three great grandchildren.
Alicia was first diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2001 and 2017 she was diagnosed with cancer. Alicia was taken care of by her daughter Carol until her death. She was dearly loved by anyone who met her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Ramirez; parents Arcadio and Sarah Carrasco; and brother, Henry Carrasco.
Alicia is survived by daughter, Carol (Mike) Nava; sons, Harvey (Angie) Ramirez and Chuck Ramirez; five grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Briana, Adrian and Isaak; three great grandchildren, Zachariyah, Selena and Jacob; four brothers Edward (Mary Ann) Carrasco, Rudy (Ana) Carrasco, David (Sylvia) Carrasco and Archie (Elvie) Carrasco; two sisters, Delma Maldonado and Sylvia (Phillip) Anaya and many nieces and nephews.
Thank you to all medical staff who assisted Alicia through her difficult time, especially Sequoia Regional Cancer Center and Kaweah Delta Hospice Center.
Rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church 1908 N. Court St., Visalia, CA. 93291 on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Followed with Inurnment at Visalia Pubic Cemetery District.
