Terrea Lynn DeGraeve Sykes

Terrea Lynn DeGraeve Sykes, 62, peacefully passed April 15, 2018, at her home in New Castle, DE. She was born December 17, 1955 in CA and spent most of her life in Virginia Beach, VA. She is the daughter of the late, Bill Stiles and Ruby Flowers. She was also predeceased by her brother, James "Bubba" Flowers. Terrea was the beloved wife and best friend of her husband, Jerry Sykes. She also leaves two daughters, Leah DeGraeve and Lauryn Bevis, Son in law, Dan Bevis only grandchild, Weiland Bevis, her sister, Cheryl Kleemann and step mother, DK Stiles. She will be missed by so many, including her life-long friends who considered her their "partner in crime".

Terrea's fiery red hair matched her big personality. She was a fun loving woman who could light up any room with her infectious laugh and witty sense of humor. She absolutely mastered the art of great story telling; her stories may have been long, but they were always hilarious. She loved planting flowers in Spring and Summers spent on the beach. A life lesson that she taught her girls was that everything in life was negotiable; she could sell ice to a polar bear. There are so many wonderful memories that will be cherished.

A graveside service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462
