Steven Lee Smith, 58, passed away on April 24, 2019. He was a native of Virginia Beach and an avid Redskins fan. Steven greatly enjoyed listening to music, dancing and singing. He was a horrible Karaoke singer but loved doing it. Steven was a pipefitter as well as owner and operator of Atlantic Fire Sprinkler.
He enjoyed the comic strip Peanuts and his favorite characters were Snoopy and Woodstock of which he would go out of his way to find cards or trinkets with his favorite characters. Steven was predeceased by the love of his life whom he met in youth group at church; his wife of 27 years, Lisa Suzanne Smith; and his father Joseph W. Smith, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Meghan Lane (Eric Lock) and Steven “Chad” Smith (Stephanie); mother, Mary Lee Smith; brother, Joseph “Joey” Smith; grandchildren, Steven “Kyler” Lane, Alyssa Broadhurst Smith, and Richard Joseph “Joe” Smith; and three cousins, Gary Church, Glenn Church and Chris Davis.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA, 23462. A funeral service beginning at 5:00 PM and a reception will follow. Inurnment will be private at a later date.
