Mavis Wanda Marshall Harris, 102, passed away in her home on Sunday, April 19, 2020. She was born in Laurel Fork, Virginia to the late Woodson Emanuel and Zera Erna Montgomery Marshall. Mavis was raised in the Shenandoah Valley where her loving relatives still reside. She was a beautician for many years and was the owner of Mavis’ Beauty Shop. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and later attended Talbot Park Baptist Church. Mavis was predeceased by her husband Garland L. Harris; son, Colin Grey Harris; and all of her siblings.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Billie Gail McCoy; son, Gerald Dee Harris; grandchildren, Caitlyn Gail McCoy and Marshall Dillon McCoy; step-daughter, Pruddy Wynn; and a host of nieces, and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held in Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro, Virginia.
