Jane Horne Atwood

Jane Horne Atwood, 84, of Chesapeake, VA passed away peacefully on July 26, 2021. She was born on February 8, 1937 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Frank Horne and Anna Fitzgerald Irby. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd O. Elliott and John E. Atwood; parents; step-father, Clifford G. Irby, Sr. and son, Floyd Elliott, Jr. Left to cherish her memory is her son, David Elliott (Sandy); grandchildren, Stephanie, Floyd and John; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clifford Irby, Jr. (Sherry) and George Irby (Leticia) and many friends and extended family members.

Jane was an avid duckpin bowler and was the tour director for the Virginia Ladies All-Stars Association since 1996. You could often find her fishing, crabbing, crafting or doing crossword puzzles.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 31, at 1:00 followed by a graveside service at 2:30. All services will be held at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 601 N.
