Evelyn Jean Roberts

Born and raised in Cox’s Mills, WV, she traveled the U.S. and the world due to her husband’s military career. She loved her time living in Japan, where she learned how to do silk flower arrangements and cooking Japanese meals to living in New Zealand where she was the wife of the XO of the VX-6 squadron plus many other stateside deployments. She was afforded the opportunity to travel Southeast Asian counties. Evelyn was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and GiGi.

She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Blanche Simmons; brother Bob Simmons and husband Clifford O Roberts.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Clifford Roberts, Linda Fair (Dan); siblings, Margy Hatcher, Betty Hardman, Guy Simmons and William Simmons; grandchildren, Andrea McDonough, Danny Fair (Brittany), Amanda Reeves (John), Courtney Fair (Kurtis), Heather Roberts (Chase), great grandchildren, Blake Reeves, Madison and Cooper Fair, Annabelle Mauriello, Colby Sutton, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was a mom and grandma to many others that will miss her dearly. She cherished every minute she shared with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, 2:00 p.m. by Keith Worrell. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Botanical Gardens.
