 Obituario de David Wesley Lawrence
David W. Lawrence, 71, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 3, 2023. He was born on June 6, 1951 in Akron, Ohio. David served in the US Navy and was a retired teacher from Virginia Beach City Public Schools. He was a member of a barbershop quartet, The Old Dominion Line, the Virginia Beach Chorale, and the Virginia Symphony Chorus. He was a member of SonRise at Pembroke Manor Christian Church. David loved life and all it had to offer. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandson. Another passion was motorcycle rides with his son. He loved singing, traveling, riding his Harleys, and playing chess. He also loved making people laugh, as was evidenced by the number of jokes he always had ready. He was the best Santa ever, posing for photos with pets and attending many Christmas events. His kind, sweet nature and colorful personality won him many friends. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Elizabeth A. Lawrence; sons David (Anne) and Gregory (Karly); beloved grandson Wesley; brother Tim (Kay); half-brother Shawn Lawrence (Robin), step-brother Jim Thomas (Mona), and step-sister Janet Thomsen (Dave). Many nieces and nephews will also miss David. He was pre-deceased by his father, Francis Lawrence and his mother and step-father, Jean and Harold Thomas. A Celebration of Life will be held at SonRise at Pembroke Manor Christian Church at a later time, to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SonRise at Pembroke Manor Christian Church. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.kellumfuneralhome.com for the Lawrence family.
