Martha Rea Clement, 84, of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was born to her late parents, Abner and Ruby Holton on August 26, 1938. She was the owner of an at home daycare and loved children and tending to her flowers. She also loved to cook and feed everyone who came around. Her most precious time was with all of her grandchildren, who she loved very much.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ojust Clement; children, Kenneth Kellum, Sr. (Roxanne) of Hackberry, Louisiana, Carnelia Courville (Howard) of Lourville, Louisiana, Margie Walter of Vinton, Louisiana, Ernest Meaux, Jr. of Vinton, Louisiana, Jerry Meaux of Vinton, Louisiana, David Clement of Grand Lake, Louisiana, and Vicki Doucet of Vinton, Louisiana; 22 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents; son, John Dean Clement; sisters, Abby Holton and Laura Mae Holton; brothers, Mitchell Holton, Tim Holton, Bill Holton, Odell Holton; and her grandson, Jason Gregory Meaux.
A Celebration of Martha's life will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton, Louisiana on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 9:00 am, with Hixson Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton, Louisiana on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Vinton, Louisiana.
