He was a life long resident of Vinton, graduating from Vinton High School in 1962. PeeWee enjoyed his retirement next to his wife for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Vinton where he served as a Deacon for many years and he was a giver of many hugs. PeeWee enjoyed hunting in his early years and was an avid bass fisherman his entire life. His greatest joy was chasing his grandchildren around the yard! He always had a smile on his face and his family was everything to him. PeeWee will be greatly missed by all his family and friends who loved him dearly.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Linda Monceaux Courmier of Vinton; his children, Tammie Marcantel (Mike) of Vinton, John "Popcorn" Courmier, Jr. (Paula) of Vinton, Willie Courmier (Samara) of Sulphur, Ashley Smith (Rocky) of Vinton; his sister, June Ladner (R.L.) of Hemphill, TX.; his brother, Frank Courmier (Terri) of Vinton; fourteen grandchildren, Dakota, Savannah, Dustin, Lacy, Matthew, Brock, Baylor, Beau, Beckett, Connor, Carter, Sophie, Trent, and Ava; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Kylie, Kaleigh, Abby Gayle, and Lucy; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two unborn angels in Heaven; and nephew, Lonnie Lynn Ladner.
