Grace Sensat Smith, 98, died Thursday, February 3, 2011, in Baton Rouge.
Grace was a longtime resident of Toomey before moving to Baton Rouge. Grace outlived all eleven siblings. Her parents were Hugh and Gertrude Wagner. She was preceded in death by her first husband Sylvin "Buck" Sensat; second husband W.R. Smith, her only son Sylvin E. Sensat and a grandson Paul Fruge.
Grace is survived by 3 daughters, Dorothy Roe of Baton Rouge, Ruth Walter of Vinton and Margaret Parrish of Woodville; daughter in law Betty Sensat of Baton Rouge; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 7, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. The Rev. Rob Tibbetts will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday and from 8-10:30 a.m., all at the funeral home.
