He was a native and lifelong resident of Vinton. Doyle attended Antioch Baptist Church in Edgerly and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Vinton. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting alligators. He retired as the Assistant Chief of Police for the City of Vinton after over 20 years of service and currently worked for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Department as a school crossing guard.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Redman and husband, Tommy of Orange, Texas, Sherry Bellow and husband, Mike of Vinton, and Tina Munoz and husband, Jose' of Orange, Texas; three grandchildren, Melanie Cowart, Jason Copeland, and Kristina Sims; and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Mildred Elizabeth Whalen Nealy; and his son, Gregory Lewis Nealy.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 27, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
